Futaba-kun Change is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hiroshi Aro. It is a fast-paced and madcap story with occasional elements of romance. The manga follows the life of Futaba Shimeru, a normal high-schooler who discovers a hereditary genetic defect that causes him to switch sexes whenever he experiences excitement or stress. The storyline takes a serious turn in volume 8 when Futaba, Misaki, and Kurin are taken by aliens, revealing that the Shimeru family are descendants of a space crash thousands of years ago. Determined to create a better future, they return to Earth. Eight years later, their condition is widely known and accepted. The manga was serialized in Monthly Shōnen Jump from 1990 to 1997 and has since become available digitally.
