From Far Away is a Japanese shōjo manga by Kyoko Hikawa. It tells the story of Noriko, a high school girl who is transported to a fantasy world after encountering an explosive paper bag. In this world, Noriko meets Izark, a warrior with a mysterious power and a dark past. As they travel together, Izark becomes ill with a transformation that reveals his true nature as the Sky Demon. Noriko nurses him and their bond grows stronger. Meanwhile, a battle between Light and Dark unfolds as Rachef, the leader of Rienka, seeks to take over. The manga won the 35th annual Seiun Award for best science fiction comic in 2004.
