Dorohedoro is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Q Hayashida. It tells the story of Caiman, an amnesiac reptilian-headed man who works with his friend Nikaido to recover his memories in a strange and violent world. The series takes place in a near post-apocalyptic future and follows the inhabitants of three distinct realms: Hole, a polluted city inhabited by humans, the Sorcerers' world, controlled by sorcerer crime boss En, and Hell, a torturous underworld. Humans and sorcerers are different species, with sorcerers possessing magical powers fueled by a specialized circulatory system. The manga was serialized in various magazines and has been licensed for English-language release by Viz Media. It was also adapted into a 12-episode anime series and received positive reception for its unique story, characters, and art style.
